Spicy Crabapple Preserves
|
Cut crabapples in half and put into kettle with water. Cook until soft. Put mixture through tomato milling machine. Return to kettle with remaining ingrediants and cook for about an hour, until fruit is transparent and sauce is thick. Pour into sterilized jars and seal. Yield: about 8 cups

2 qts. crabapples 1 C. water 2 cinnamon sticks, 1-1/2" long 8 cloves 6 C. sugar
