Pumpkin Bread

Preheat oven to 350. Cream the sugars and butter together until very light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Mix together the flours, baking powder, soda, salt, and spices. Add alternately to creamed mixture with cider and pumpkin. Beat well. Turn into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour, until bread tests done. (Insert a thin piece of metal, like a skewer, into the bread; if it comes out clean, the bread is done.)

1 C. white sugar 1/2 C. brown sugar 1/2 C. butter or margarine 2 eggs 1 C. unbleached flour 2/3 C. whole wheat flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. allspice 1/3 C. cider 1 C. pumpkin puree
