Why use a Universal cast iron tomato miller / food strainer / food processor? Because customers for over a century and a half have known it is the secret to great food preparation, shouldn't you experience the best as well? Since 1842 Universal has been producing top quality tomato milling machines and meat grinders. The secret to its quality food production is the low RPMs of a hand turn system. The low RPMs keep the juices and pulp from scorching or evaporating under the fast revolutions of some motorized systems. Also the main body is cast iron. Cast iron not only lasts forever with the right care, but it is a chef's choice for quality food preparation. All non cast iron pieces are made in a material that is easiest to clean and keep sanitary; also replacement parts are avail able for all pieces. The salsa screen allows big chunks of tomato, onion, pepper and what ever else you would like in your salsa, giving you a great fresh chunky garden salsa.
